As mentioned earlier, my current weight is 55 kg. All I need to lose is 2-3 kg, most of which is actually belly fat, plus a little bit on the thighs. So, my weight loss goal is quite specific here - to lose 3 kg and get rid of belly fat in 2 months, before I hit for a beach holiday!

I have been wondering how to lose belly fat in a matter of 2 months; should I do hundreds of ab crunches every day? I mean, does that really work? Is that the best way to get rid of belly fat?

1. Proper meal planning
Half the battle against fat is won just by eating healthy meals! When you eat healthy and keep your stomach full, there is no room for temptation of any kind. Naturally, you won’t end up eating junk foods. That makes losing weight much easier. In addition, healthy meals provide your body with nutrition and energy, and at the same time detoxify your body by removing wastes left by junk foods.
2. Cardio exercises
While you can lose weight with diet alone, this process is very slow, and you have to significantly cut down your calorie consumption. If you want to get rid of belly fat as fast as possible, you have to couple your healthy diet plan with cardio exercises, as it will accelerate weight loss process by boosting your fat burning rate. Don’t let the term ‘cardio exercise’ scare you. They are in fact simple activities you can do every day, such as walking, running, swimming, cycling, dancing, etc.
3. Work on your belly
Okay, I’m glad to know that I don’t have to do hundreds of crunches daily. An effective way to exercise the belly fat is to do a few sets of crunches every day, alternately targeting each abdominal muscle groups: upper abs, lower abs and side abs. This will help to acquire abdominal muscles and also a flat stomach. And it is better than doing 100 ab crunches once in a few days!
